Before leaving Albania, my team got the opportunity to adventure to a beautiful mountain side castle in Kruje, Albania. On our first morning there, I decided to go on a long, wild adventure that went through most of the afternoon; by the end, all I wanted to do was go take a shower and rest in my bed. Although, the Lord had different plans. I felt a tug on my heart to go the hotel a different way than I normally do. Along this path, a man that worked near by noticed I was quite interested by all my surroundings, typical tourist things, and he asked if I was looking for something specific. I was interested in seeing some oldddd olive tree near by so he directed me to where it was. While walking back from the anticlimactic olive tree, he told me that he was a Muslim but only because he was born into a Muslim family; he didn’t actually believe in the words of Muhammad…interesting! As our conversation progressed, I saw that he was not set on any belief in particular but definitely believed in God. After sharing a bit about Jesus, I could tell he was quite intrigued, so I asked if he wanted an Albanian Bible to learn more and he said yes! Ah shoot! On top of that, he wanted it right away. While walking up to grab the Bible, I felt the importance of sharing the full gospel with him, but I hadn’t shared the full gospel with someone yet… I was scared! At the hotel, I asked a couple teammates if they could come help but they were all busy…it was just me and Jesus but as usual, Jesus showed up! When I returned, I sat down and shared the full gospel with him. The Lord gave me the words to speak and the courage to speak them. At the end, I asked him if he wanted to receive Jesus into his heart, which he informed me that he already did. Then I asked him if he had prayed before and he said no…sooo I asked him if he wanted to pray for the first time and he said yes. We walked over to a beautiful scenic area overlooking the town of Kruje and he prayed to Jesus (aka talked with him) for the first time, accepting him into his heart! Friends and family, this was such a sweet moment. Another “bubble of Heaven” you could say (: Please pray for him, that he is reading the Bible and being transformed by the Lord each day. Please pray that he is being drenched by the Lord’s abundant love and grace!
